Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying from Reliable RAM.

All of our hardware is used, enterprise-grade equipment. Every item is inspected, tested, and documented with honest condition notes before listing. Items that require attention (like battery replacements on UPS units) are clearly marked. We never misrepresent condition.

We source from government surplus, enterprise refreshes, and other reliable institutional channels. This means you're getting quality hardware that was maintained by professional IT teams — not random consumer returns.

We believe in transparent, fair pricing. Many items have listed prices, and for others we ask buyers to propose a price first. We offer a price match guarantee against legitimate eBay and retail sellers. Volume discounts are available for bulk orders.

We accept Venmo, Zelle, Apple Cash, and Stripe (credit/debit cards). For B2B orders, we can also work with invoicing. We're flexible — just let us know what works best for you.

We offer flat rate shipping on all orders. Local pickup is also available in the Twin Cities metro area (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN). For large or heavy items like servers and enterprise UPS units, we'll work with you on the best shipping option.

Because all items are tested before shipping, we stand behind what we sell. If an item doesn't match its description, contact us immediately and we'll make it right. For specific warranty questions, reach out directly — we handle things on a case-by-case basis because every situation is different.

Absolutely. We offer custom bundles (CPU + motherboard combos, for example) and can often source specific items through our network. Just reach out via our contact page or call us directly at 507-244-1308.

Yes — B2B sales are a core part of our business. We work with IT departments, MSPs, and data center operators. Volume discounts are available, and we can provide invoicing for purchase orders. Let's talk about what you need.

You can reach founder Tiernan Talbot directly at 507-244-1308, through our contact form, or on Facebook (@ReliableRAM). We respond quickly — you're not dealing with a support queue.
